Mystic Vibes TV Nominated In “Best Music Video Show” Catagory For The Upcoming 30th Anniversary Chicago Music Awards To Take Place Jan. 16th 2011!!

     Mystic Vibes TV is nominated for “Best Music Video Show” for the 30th anniversary of the Chicago Music Awards.  The event is produced by Martin’s International Culture Inc.   Mystic Vibes TV was there to tape  the press conference on Nov. 10th at the  trendy entertainment venue , Excalibur located in downtown Chicago, IL. , where the nominees were announced including some entertaining  performances. 

     Chicago radio legend, LaDonna Tittle stood in as Mystic Vibes TV’s  celebrity reporter  for the taped press conference including interviews of the just announced nominees.  

CARIBBEAN & AFRICAN MUSIC REPRESENTED

  In Chicago’s diverse musical community, the genre’s of Reggae, Reggaeton, Calypso, African Entertainer and more are represented as nominees in the various categories.

Damian Marley tells Mystic Vibes TV about the creative concept of the music video, “As We Enter”

Mystic Vibes TV was on hand to celebrate the triumphant return of Nas & Damian Marley @  the recent North Coast Music Festival Chicago IL. Sep 5th 2010 / as headliners performing songs  from the critically acclaimed album, “Distant Relatives”.

It was a blessing to witness the musical  merger of two  progressive soliders in today’s youth culture to collab together to send to the message of  love respect and spiritual  reverance for our African linage depsite where we are in the diaspora. 

“Distant Relatives” is an album that deserves to be played on heavy rotation on every Urban Contemporary muisc station  play list to deprogram our children who are in a  negative cultural & mental  matrix right now. That’s if they are sincere in promoting positve messages in music.

After congratualting Damian Marley personally on the success of the album.  (congrats extended to Nas as well),  Damian spoke to Mystic Vibes TV about the creative concept of the music video, “As We Enter” which is currently airing on heavy rotation on Mystic Vibes TV Chicago.    I will post info on air dates & times of the interview in the near future.

I strongly encourage all my prograssive brothers & sister to get “Distant Relatives”  It is my opinion that this album is the best album in 2010!

Summer time is here and also Reggae and Festival season in Chicago.  I had a very busy spring doing on location taping and interviews.

PRIME MINISTER OF BELIZE TALKS TO MYSTIC VIBES TV

The Prime Minister of Belize, The Hon. Dean Barrow and The First Lady, Kim Barrow gave exclusive interviews about fostering positive relations with Chicago’s Belizean community.  They were on a visit in  Chicago back in March by invitation from the non-for-profit organization Concerned Belizeans of Chicago.   Also featured in this upcoming episode are interviews with the Ambassador of Belize to the U.S., Nester Mendez and the Minister of Education, The Hon. Patrick Faber.  Mr. Herbert Ferguson Jr. is guest interviewer. 

GRAMPS MORGAN

Gramps Morgan of the internationally acclaimed group, Morgan Heritage recently released his solo album, “2 Sides Of My Heart Vol 1″.  In May, Gramps took home some awards at the IRAWMA Ceremonies in New York.  DJ Mobay-One of WLUW fm Chicago,  talked to Gramps Morgan for Mystic Vibes TV about the success of the album.  Gramps will be back in Chicago in July performing at the International Festival Of Life.

STEEL PULSE

  They’re not only a legendary band, they are also teachers.  Mystic Vibes TV’s  most popular host, Headley McKenzie shared some wisdom with Steel Pulse lead singer, David Hinds. It is a very insightful interview.
