Mystic Vibes TV will air a very special episode featuring the outstanding, musical career of Damian Marley aka “Jr. Gong”. This episode will air Monday, Feb. 8th 2010 @ 6pm (Central Standard Time) and will rebroadcast, Tuesday, Feb. 9th @ 1pm on the CAN TV Network Cable Channel 19 in Chicago IL.
This episode features Mystic Vibes TV archive interviews with Damian dating back from 1st appearance on the show at age 15, thru his most recent interview in Chicago in 2009 as he talks about his collaboration with Hip Hop artist, Nas and their up coming album, “Distant Relatives” which is slated to be released, April 2010.
Very candid moments, light hearted & funny moments and serious social commentary is the best way to our experience with Damian on the show through out the years. Included is some trivia and some of his classic albums and music video through out the years!
“ABOUT DISTANT RELATIVES”
The much anticipated “Distant Relatives”, collaboration album by Hip Hop artist Nas and Damian Marley is now scheduled to be released April 20th 2010, under the Def Jam/Tuff Gong label.
The theme and inspiration of the album derives from Nas & Marly’s relationship and a shared kindred of their shared African identity. Hip Hop and Reggae join forces to foster humanitarian efforts in Africa and around the world.
Proceeds of the album “Distant Relatives” will to building a school in the Congo.
